Position Overview:

Joseph & Associates has a need for a WordPress Developer experienced in both front-end and back-end development to support digital modernization initiatives for government and commercial clients. This role is ideal for someone who can balance hands-on coding with client-focused customization and agile collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and maintain responsive, Section 508-compliant WordPress websites
2. Customize themes and develop custom plugins to meet user needs
3. Optimize websites for performance, scalability, and security
4. Troubleshoot bugs, maintain updates, and manage version control
5. Collaborate with UI/UX designers and content strategists to align technical builds with client goals

Required Experience & Skills:

1. Bachelor's Degree
2. 5 years of experience developing WordPress sites (both front-end and back-end)
3. Solid knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and MySQL
4. Familiarity with REST APIs and WordPress hooks/actions
5. Experience with Git, Agile workflows, and browser testing tools
6. Understanding of security best practices in WordPress environments
7. Experience working with federal agencies or a plus
