Innovise Technologies is a Washington-based software consultancy that partners with clients across industries to build modern, maintainable, and scalable software. We’re currently hiring a Junior Full Stack Engineer for one of our clients who needs help maintaining and building out several internal and customer-facing web applications.

This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to gain exposure to real-world projects, collaborate closely with experienced developers, and grow into a long-term full-time role. You’ll be part of a cross-functional Agile team that includes designers, product owners, scrum masters, and other developers.

About the Role

1. Contract-to-hire: This is a 1099 contractor role with the intent to transition to a full-time hire if it’s a mutual fit.
2. You will work directly with the client, as well as with other Innovise developers and leads.
3. Work is fully remote, but candidates must be based in the United States.

What You’ll Work On

1. Frontend development in React and TypeScript
2. Backend services using Java Spring Boot and occasionally PHP
3. Writing and consuming REST APIs
4. SQL for data querying and updates
5. Potential involvement in platform-level/DevOps tasks as you grow into the role

What We’re Looking For

1. Solid understanding of React and TypeScript
2. Familiarity with backend development (Java, Spring Boot preferred)
3. Interest in learning full stack development and contributing across the stack
4. Ability to think critically about business requirements and offer solutions
5. Comfortable communicating in a team environment and asking questions
6. US-based with availability during standard business hours for team collaboration

Bonus Points

1. Experience with Agile practices (standups, sprints, Jira)
2. Exposure to DevOps or cloud infrastructure concepts
3. Familiarity with PHP and legacy systems

Interview Process

1. Phone screen with ID check (15 min)
2. Remote interview with Innovise to discuss resume, development experience, etc (1 hr)
3. Interview with client (1 hr)

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
