Description and Requirements

The Marketing Automation Manager is responsible for consulting and managing marketing automation strategy and platform management. This includes collaborating with technology partners to architect scalable, data-driven programs that support the full customer lifecycle. This role helps define how automation enables personalized, measurable marketing efforts – driving lead nurturing, conversion and customer retention through optimized workflows, platform integrations and cross-functional collaboration. This role is also responsible for aligning with internal product marketers and activation to prioritize automation projects based onbusiness goals, translating these goals into technical deliverables, and collaborating with technology partners to execute. The manager ensures consistent execution, performance tracking and continuous improvement of automated marketing programs at scale.

Key Responsibilities

1. Conults on and manages the marketing automation strategy across MetLife marketing automation platforms (MAPs), defining how automation delivers scalable, measurable marketing programs that drive growth
2. Responsible for the aligninment on the vision, design, implementation and ongoing optimization of automated marketing programs’ contribution to business growth
3. Streamlines tools, people and processes to drive measurable results across the customer lifecycle
4. Collaborates with marketing stakeholders to ensure work outlined in the MAP roadmap aligns with campaigns supporting key business priorities
5. Oversees the marketing automation roadmap, prioritized with relevant stakeholders and partners across MetLife (Activation, GTO, CX, PODs and non-PODs)
6. Effectively translates marketing strategies into technical deliverables through close collaboration with technology partners
7. Partners with internal technology teams to develop, align and prioritize technical requirements tied to marketing initiatives
8. Manages offshore execution team, works to prioritize projects across competing priorities
9. Oversees execution of marketing automation team and project manages team to ensure deadlines are met
10. Oversees tool health, usage roadmaps and identifies opportunities to expand current tools (Marketo, Adobe Campaign Manager, Hubspot)
11. Assists technology partners in identifying opportunities to leverage new platforms, when applicable
12. Aligns third party-tools roadmaps with marketing automation platforms (OfferFit, Stensul)

Essential Business Experience & Technical Skills

1. 5-8 years of experience in email marketing, automated marketing programs and management of marketing automation platforms
2. Certification or applicable years of experience with Marketo, Adobe Campaign Manager, Hubspot and Salesforce
3. Proven ability to work with technology teams to translate marketing campaign objectives into clear, actionable technical requirements
4. Exceptional leadership skills and experience managing teams
5. Experience across B2B, B2B2C and B2C marketing portfolios
6. Experience in the financial services industry

The salary range for applicants for this position is $66,900 to $112,600.
