What’s the role?

Modern Campus is looking for a skilled and strategic Content Writer to craft compelling stories and content that resonate with higher education leaders. In this role, you’ll create and optimize high-impact assets—from blogs and articles to eBooks, guides, and landing pages—that drive engagement, educate our audience, and support campaign goals across the learner-to-earner lifecycle.

This role is essential in amplifying Modern Campus’s voice, showcasing customer success, and communicating the value of our solutions: CMS, Message, Involve, Connected Curriculum, and Lifelong Learning.

1. Content CreationWrite engaging, clear, and persuasive content tailored to higher education decision-makers including Marketing, Enrollment, Student Affairs, and Continuing Ed leaders.
2. Support demand generation, product marketing, and customer marketing initiatives with content assets such as:
3. Blog posts
4. Web copy
5. Product guides and sell sheets
6. eBooks and whitepapers
7. Content Optimization & StrategyAlign content with SEO best practices to increase organic traffic and search rankings.
8. Collaborate with campaign managers to ensure messaging consistency across channels and lifecycle stages.
9. Repurpose existing content into new formats (e.g., turning a whitepaper into a blog series or webinar deck).
10. Brand Voice & MessagingMaintain a consistent tone and voice that aligns with Modern Campus’s brand—professional, higher ed fluent, and customer-obsessed.
11. Integrate storytelling and data to illustrate product value, student impact, and institutional outcomes.
12. What you offer…3+ years of experience in content writing, preferably in B2B SaaS or higher education sectors.
13. Strong portfolio showcasing long-form and short-form content.
14. Ability to translate complex topics into engaging and accessible narratives.
15. SEO and keyword research experience.
16. Familiarity with CMS platforms, marketing automation tools, and basic analytics.
17. Understanding of the higher education market, including the roles and needs of academic and administrative staff.
18. Experience writing for personas such as Enrollment Leaders, Provosts, Student Affairs professionals, or CE/Workforce Directors.
19. What we offer…The base salary range* for this full-time position is between $50,000-$60,000
