Job Description:

Seeking a Wireless Access Point Survey Consultant to support various events, including the Olympics and cultural events, by conducting surveys to ensure optimal wireless connectivity. This role involves extensive travel across the USA, with initial training provided at the RTP hub.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Analyze floor layouts to optimize wireless access point (AP) placement.
• Utilize tools such as Ekhau AI Pro and Sidekick (preferably Sidekick II for 6GHz/6E compatibility) to assess signal strength.
• Demonstrate expertise in APs, antennas (including specific model names), Catalyst Wireless Hardware (ISO-XE, 91XX series), and Controllers (98XX series).
• Generate reports in Ekahau using custom templates based on collected data.
• Apply RF predictive designs, leveraging hybrid methodologies combining predictive modeling with real-world observations.

Must Have:

• Proficiency in Real-Time Location Services (RTLS).
• Experience with Hybrid Design Methodologies (Predictive + Real World).
• Expertise in Ekahau AI Pro for custom reporting.
• Familiarity with Sidekick (I or II).

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of Wireless LAN Controller (98XX series, Meraki).
• Programming skills in Python for automation.
• Strong proficiency in Excel.
• Familiarity with DNAC – Catalyst Center.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering).
• X years of experience in wireless networking, with a focus on AP deployment and RF optimization.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $95,000- $100,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
