Junior Creative & Digital Marketing Specialist (Hybrid, Part-Time)

Pay: Starting at $20/hour (based on experience)

Schedule: Part-time, approximately 20–30 hours per week, Monday–Friday during U.S. business hours

Location: Hybrid (Remote with occasional in-store days in West Milford, NJ)

Reports to: Marketing Director

About the Role

We’re looking for a junior creative to support the day-to-day marketing execution for SoulFlora. This is a hands-on production role working closely with our Marketing Director on design, social content, email graphics, and in-store visuals.

This is not a strategy or leadership role. It’s an execution-focused position for someone who enjoys creating, staying organized, and turning work around efficiently while following clear creative direction.

While much of the work can be done remotely, this role does require occasional in-store time for meetings, collaboration, and on-site creative needs. Because of that, we’re looking for someone local or within reasonable commuting distance.

This is a part-time role (approximately 20–30 hours per week) with the potential to grow into a full-time position over time, based on performance and business needs.

What You’ll Be Doing

  1. Design in-store signage for promotions, events, and vendor activations
  2. Create graphics for social posts, stories, carousels, and reels
  3. Help produce AI-assisted images, motion graphics, and short video content
  4. Assist with short-form video editing for social media
  5. Build promotional email graphics and layouts
  6. Support e-commerce with homepage banners and sales visuals
  7. Resize and format assets for screens, menus, print, and web
  8. Execute campaigns across digital, print, and in-store channels
  9. Occasionally support on-site needs such as signage setup, content capture, or creative reviews

What We’re Looking For

  1. Solid graphic design skills for both print and digital
  2. Comfortable using Canva, Figma, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  3. Hands-on experience with AI creative tools (ChatGPT, Midjourney, Gemini, Flow, or similar)
  4. Basic understanding of Instagram formats and social content best practices
  5. Strong attention to detail, layout, and brand consistency
  6. Organized, reliable, and able to work efficiently within a part-time schedule
  7. Clear written communication and ability to follow creative direction
  8. Ability to occasionally work on-site in West Milford, NJ
  9. Must be 21+ and able to pass a state background check in accordance with NJ CRC requirements
  10. Willingness to share examples of creative or design work during the interview process

Nice to Have (Not Required)

  1. Short-form video editing or motion graphics experience (CapCut, Premiere, After Effects)
  2. Email marketing design experience (Klaviyo, Alpine IQ)
  3. Website or e-commerce design experience (Shopify, WordPress, Squarespace)
  4. Photography, videography, or event content experience
  5. Interest in retail marketing or the cannabis industry

How We Work

  1. This is a hybrid, part-time role (approximately 20–30 hours per week)
  2. Core availability is Monday–Friday during U.S. business hours
  3. Daily communication happens via Slack
  4. You’ll work directly with our Marketing Director and support an active retail operation
