Club Z! In-home Tutoring is the world's largest in-home tutoring program. Club Z! is seeking qualified part-time tutors (with either a teaching certificate or a degree PLUS previous tutoring experience) for all subjects. We match tutors with students based on their needs and your qualifications. You make your own schedule! Most tutoring sessions occur after school, early evenings, and/or weekends in the safety and comfort of the child's home. Tutor Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Reviewing classroom or curricula topics and assignments
2. Assisting students with homework, projects, test preparation, papers, research, and other academic tasks
3. Working with students to help them understand key concepts, especially those learned in the classroom
4. Teaching skills to improve academic performance, including study strategies, note-taking skills, and approaches to answering test questions
5. Demonstrating academic best practices for specific subjects and assignments, including research, and writing tactics
6. Developing and distributing teaching materials to supplement classroom lessons, including study guides
7. Conducting practice tests to track progress, identify areas of improvement and help set goals for exam preparation
8. Providing students positive and constructive feedback
9. Offering feedback on progress to students’ parents and teachers where appropriate
10. Building meaningful connections with students from diverse backgrounds
11. Instructing students both in person and over video chat
12. Diagnosing student needs through active listening techniques and questioning strategies
13. Recognizing different learning styles and student preferences
14. Designing differentiated learning goals
15. Staying up to date with the school curriculum

Qualifications:

1. Applicants should be comfortable working one-on-one with students
2. Possess teaching certificate (Preferred, not required)
3. AA degree or higher
4. At least 1 year of prior tutoring experience
5. Applicants must have reliable transportation
6. Able to work in the US
7. Pass background check
