We are seeking a skilled Systems Software Engineer to join our team. You will ensure that PostgreSQL runs smoothly on our cloud platform by contributing to any necessary parts of the system, including:

1. the interface between PostgreSQL and the storage system;
2. the interface with our control plane and monitoring, and
3. the open-source PostgreSQL project and the whole ecosystem around it.

You will also

1. Participate in the design and implementation of our Postgres features
2. Write low-level systems code
3. Deploy changes to the farm of 500k+ Postgres instances
4. Participate in on-call rotation and drive operational excellence

We're looking for a senior-level engineer who has

1. At least 4 years of production experience in Software engineering
2. Experience with developing Postgres features and/or extensions
3. Experience with maintaining and developing big production systems, whether it is Postgres or not
4. Passion for building systems software. Performance engineering and distributed systems are topics that excite you!
5. Passion for joining a fast-paced, early-stage startup
6. Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and pride

It would be great if you have:

1. Some experience with Rust
2. Experience with open-source projects and developing publicly
