Position Summary: Responsible for management and supervision of all clinical, prevention and training services for the Student Assistance Services Division in assigned districts. Provides new program development, internal policy consultation and development and assists Executive Director with special projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (include but are not limited to):
- Responsible for supervising student assistance counselors on clinical and programmatic functions of the Student Assistance Program/Project SUCCESS including: all assessment, referral and intervention services to students and their families, and implementation of universal prevention services in assigned districts.
- Responsible for coaching, evaluating, and monitoring work quality of assigned SACs
- Monitors assigned school programs to ensure practices are in line with State and Federal program requirements.
- Responsible for evaluating and monitoring SAP in assigned districts through periodic sac logbook review, online review of data and school and SAC reports.
- Provides clinical interventions, crisis interventions, short-term problem-solving support to schools as requested.
- Provides professional development to SACs to meet State Certification Board and SAC Union Contract requirements.
- Provides professional development, seminars and workshops, for students, school personnel, community and state agencies, civic organizations and parent groups.
- Provides orientation/awareness sessions for school administrators and staff.
Other Duties:
- Assists in the development and training of new procedures, data systems and communication tools..
- Evaluates current and potential treatment providers.
- Represents RISAS on statewide committees, task forces and planning sessions.
- Performs other duties as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- LMHC or LICSW
- Minimum 7 years’ experience providing school-based, prevention/early intervention services for middle and high school youth including work with diverse populations
- Demonstrated expertise in child/adolescent behavioral health (substance use/mental health)
- Demonstrated expertise in motivational interviewing
- Experience and skill in training, public speaking or teaching.
- Professional verbal, written, presentation and training skills
- Computer competence using Microsoft Office-Word, Excel
- Demonstrated ability to learn and coach SACs in virtual platforms for the delivery of Project SUCCESS
- Fluent in Mosaix Data Entry System including creating reports and ability to train new staff
- Ability to learn and monitor data collections systems required by funding sources
- Pass Background Check required by school systems
