The Senior Technical Designer is responsible for facilitating the transition of apparel styles from design concept to a final, production ready prototype. Collaborates with product developers and vendors to ensure consistent fit and quality.

The position will be based in our corporate headquarters, near Madison, WI, but it will offer a hybrid work arrangement allowing the flexibility to work a few days a week from home.

What You’ll Do:

• Maintain consistency of DT fit standards through live fittings and pattern analysis
• Will have category responsibility
• Analyze and uphold garment construction standards
• Develop and maintain clear and accurate product and measurement specifications
• Update technical illustrations and create construction callouts
• Communicate daily with suppliers
• Analyze fabric testing information to insure DT standards are met
• Travel domestically and internationally when required
• Analyze customer return rate and determine if product improvements are needed
• Conduct competitive analysis when required
• Complete projects as assigned

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Apparel Design and Development, or equivalent work experience
  • Equivalent work experience would be considered
• 7 years of apparel technical designer experience
• Experience working in cross-functional teams
• Strong fit and patternmaking skills
• Knowledge of apparel construction
• Working knowledge of PLM systems
• Sketching skills using Adobe Illustrator
• Understanding of product engineering, manufacturing processes and QC systems
• Excellent prioritization and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to change and be self-directed

Compensation: $90,000 to $100,000/Year

Compensation is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
