We are seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist for our Life Fitness Physical Therapy clinic in Columbia. We are looking for a strong, skilled, dependable, and responsible individual who can multi-task and keep the front office running smoothly.

Job Duties:

• Greeting patients
• Answering phones
• Electronic Scheduling
• Data Entry
• Verifying current personal and financial information
• Booking appointments
• Verifying insurance benefits
• Charging tickets
• Collecting copays and posting payments daily
• Billing, uploading, and correcting claims in the clearinghouse
• Balancing and completing daily deposits
• Processing refunds
• Faxing and Filing and performing any other duties assigned

Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• 1+ years' experience in the front office and with Medicare billing and DDE experience, collections, and all aspects of the A/R cycle
• Proficient in Word and Excel
• Previous experience with Medical Manager, Medisoft, or other medical software highly preferred
• Experience in a medical clinic, heavy medical billing, heavy A/R, collections (from insurance companies and patients), insurance follow-up, and coding and verification.
• Excellent telephone skills
• Team player attitude, energetic, able to multi-task, with a focus on excellent customer service is key
• Flexible with your hours
• Organized with attention to detail
• Time management skills
