Marketing & Sales Manager
Reports to: Marketing Director

Marketing duties:
· Manage email marketing including working with outside vendors, design and write content for in-house general advertising and event promotion purposes, write and send press releases, add new contacts to established audiences, and new segments and tags. (MailChimp)
· Edit webpages of member listings, events, or other content as needed (WordPress),
· Resize and optimize photos for Deadwood.com, social media and other projects as needed (Photoshop)
· Sort and upload event photos to Deadwood’s Flickr account, to the backup server and to the media library (box.com)
· Manage digital kiosk content in Welcome Center including regular audits of content (check for errors and changes, submit to vendor for updates)
· Assist with in-house design and content creation projects, as needed
· Assist with in-house ad placement including traditional, digital/social media
· Assist marketing team with social media monitoring and acquiring content
· Assist marketing director with event sponsors’ ad materials – to include design, copywriting, and other deliverables
· Assist with monitoring marketing and visitation data – to include social media insights, google analytics, Placer.ai, South Dakota tourism dashboard metrics, gaming handle, occupancy, and tax revenues
· Continued learning: The fields of marketing and social media change quickly, sometimes monthly. A successful candidate will continue to learn new software, skills, and social platforms through in-house mentorship with the Marketing Director, self-study, and in-person and online learning opportunities. The Chamber will support those efforts.
· Additional tasks as assigned
Sales duties:
· Serve as the Chamber representative at National and regional motor coach conventions
· Maintain a current database of all motor coach names and addresses, and of all travel agents seeking information on Deadwood
· Manage welcome bag requests from groups, conventions, and motor coaches
· Coordinate industry FAM and media trips to Deadwood, including securing suitable accommodations, attraction entry and meals as requested
· Promote the Chamber and community through participation in various public activities such presenting Deadwood information at industry events, tours, sport, and travel shows
· Additional tasks as assigned
All Employees of the Chamber will:
· Assist with phone calls and in-person visitor/business inquiries, to include Chamber front desk and Welcome Center
· All duties as necessary during Chamber events including pre-registration and registration
· Will be assigned to represent the Chamber on a business/tourism/event committee(s) in town or region
· Help cleanup/organize Chamber storage areas, offices, property, and vehicles
· Work together as a team and help where needed
Compensation Package:
Qualifications:
· Minimum of three years’ professional experience in design & marketing
· Working knowledge/mastery of Adobe Creative Cloud programs, with a focus on photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat
· Working knowledge/mastery of Windows programs
· Working knowledge of web content management system platforms and email marketing platforms, WordPress/MailChimp or similar
· Working knowledge of social media and other digital platforms
· Travel required
