SUMMARY

The Marketing Insights & Budget Analyst will be responsible for the oversight and management of the marketing budget spend, allocation and reporting. This team member will provide consolidated marketing performance summaries, inclusive of key performance indicators by channel and partner with stakeholders to identify scorecard reporting. This key contributor will also assist in digital channel processes and optimization as identified on the Digital Guest Engagement team.

**This position is hybrid remote. The ideal candidate would reside in Colorado and be able to travel to the Restaurant Support Center in Englewood, CO as needed.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategic Thinking & Leadership:

o Evaluates problems and issues into critical parts which can be resolved.

o Translate strategic plans and forecasts into financial plans and projections to ensure that marketing programs achieve financial targets.

o Provide consolidated marketing performance summaries, inclusive of key performance indicators by channel.

o Gather, validate and interpret data and present findings and recommendations to management.

o Provide input into the annual marketing plan, specifically: sales forecasts for key initiatives taking into consideration past history, market trends, competitive activity and sales objectives.

o Access reports and analyze where necessary.

 

 

  • Budget Management:

o Proper management and reconciliation of all account budgets in accordance with marketing initiatives.

o Establish accurate forecasts regarding expenses and revenues and manage/distribute regular reports on budget/forecast variances to actual.

o Review budget vs. actual information. A regular review of budget vs. actual expenses and revenue should be done to identify any possible issues.

o Review and approve original estimates vs. billed. All invoices and requests for payment, including any related backup documentation and ensure that it has been signed and approved by the appropriate authority.

o Keep detailed records (i.e.: a copy of the invoice, signed estimates, email exchanges, business meeting notes, etc.).

o Perform financial analysis and develop financial reports that are clear, error-free and on-time.

o Develop standard accounting procedures to improve financial marketing budget efficiencies.

o Ongoing budget reconciliation based on changes and shifts that occur.

o Management of industry focused financial software/databases.

o Oversee marketing contract negotiations, executions and renewals inclusive of new vendor request paperwork.

 

 

  • Digital Guest Experience Support

o Partner with the Digital Marketing Manager to plan and execute content for various digital platforms.

o Monitor and optimize SEO while ensuring that the company’s website is up to-date and accurate.

 

 

  • Internal Relationship Management:

o Develop and maintain relationships with accounting and analytic teams as it relates to budget management, systems and processes.

o Be a liaison with cross functional teams and work collaboratively to inform and request data as necessary.

o Ensure key information is provided to appropriate individuals and teams regarding budget management updates, issues and projections.

 

 

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 4+ years of financial reporting/budgeting ideally within a Marketing function.
  • Approachable and solution-oriented when presented with challenges or issues.
  • Able to excel in a collaborative environment but also take ownership of projects.
  • Established presentation skills.
  • Able to express oneself clearly and concisely in oral and written communications.
  • Advanced computer skills in all Microsoft computer programs including Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
