As a Senior IT Technician and member of our technology team, you will be responsible for providing end-user support our employees in our main facility to remote users. This role installs, maintains, and repairs products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at the client and/or field locations.
Instructs customers in equipment operation, provides technical assistance, performs preventative maintenance, troubleshoots equipment for malfunctions. Additional responsibilities include assisting the IT Management with ensuring license compliance, adherence to security policies, daily backups, and system monitoring. This position will include numerous special projects ranging from system implementations and integrations to data mining.
Responsibilities
- Performs routine system maintenance and analysis functions, including hardware configurations and adding, removing, and replacing equipment components.
- SQL server maintenance and some query modification/design
- Manage server, firewall, network, Office 365, and Active Directory
- Installing/Configuring computer systems
- Create and maintain users for several systems
- Analyze user needs and recommend appropriate hardware/software
- Working with customers/employees to identify and resolve technology problems
- Logging and keeping records of customer/employee issues
- Maintain company IT assets and inventory
- Updating FAQs/Knowledgebase to maintain institutional technology expertise
- Reviewing and verifying data backups
- Configuring and troubleshooting iPhone/iPad
- The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Update knowledge and skills to keep up with rapid advancements in computer technology.
- Test and verify hardware and support peripherals
Skills & Knowledge
- Demonstrated strong knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems (Windows 10+) – 3 years
- Demonstrated Microsoft Office installation and troubleshooting (Office 365) – 3 years
- Demonstrated basic hardware/software troubleshooting – 5+ years
- Printer (local and network) troubleshooting – 5+ years
- Mobile device connectivity / troubleshooting – 5+ years
- Windows Server knowledge (Windows 2008 through 2019) – 5+ years
- Windows Active Directory – 5+ years
- Networking and cabling experience – 5+ years
- Manufacturing systems experience (MISys a plus)
- Accounting applications experience (Sage 300 a plus)
