Chamber Executive Director

The Norwalk Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our team as a Full-Time Executive Director. This key leadership position operates under the direction of the Norwalk Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Committee of the Board of Directors.

The Executive Director is responsible for working with different event committees to develop, organize, and promote Chamber activities and events. This role also involves delivering exceptional customer service to all members, visitors, and community organizations, and managing membership efforts, including retention and recruitment. Additionally, the Executive Director will create marketing and promotional materials, including newsletters, website content, event calendars, social media updates, and newspaper articles.

Position Requirements:

• Associate’s Degree
• Experience in event planning
• Experience in marketing
• Experience in social media/content creation
• Proficiency in MS Office and Google Workspace
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Comfort with cold-calling and visitation of current and potential members
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to work with business, community, and political leaders to promote the interests of the Chamber

Pay - Salary range $60,000-$65,000
