The Washington area currently has an opening for an Advisory Services Consultant to join our team. Primary responsibilities for this position are to support large, multi-disciplinary asset management projects including technical leadership, deliverable development, project management, and proposal development.

 

The candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with the advisory services practice leadership supporting growth in the Northwest as well as nationwide. The candidate should have experience applying asset management practices in some or all of the following market sectors: public works, parks department, power delivery, hydropower, industrial, food and beverage, and solid waste.

 

Primary Responsibilities

 

The expectation for a Consultant-level is that the candidate will have significant experience as a project manager, technical leader, or primary contributor in the development of asset management-related deliverables including:

 

  • Asset Management Plan
  • Whole Life Cost / Risk Model
  • Asset Hierarchy
  • Asset Investment Plan
  • Condition Assessment
  • Asset Risk Assessment
  • Business Case Evaluation

 

The expectation is that candidate will have significant experience supporting the development of:

 

  • Asset Management Policy
  • Strategic Asset Management Plan
  • ISO 55000 Gap Assessment
  • Roadmap and Implementation Plan
  • Asset Investment Planning Framework
  • Condition Assessment Framework
  • Asset Risk Management Framework
  • Enterprise Risk Management Framework
  • Business Process Map

 

Required Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Planning, Economics, IT, Urban Studies, or Public Affairs from an accredited university.
  • 5 years’ relevant experience.
  • Basic understanding of utility / public works / parks department operation and maintenance activities including data collection, work order processing, workflow analysis, and asset management best practices.
  • Detail oriented and ability to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to work on a team or as an individual self-starter.
  • Excellent organizational skills along with strong written/verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to compile and present summary-level information.
  • Fully vaccinated for COVID-19. This position requires onsite client visits, or, this position will be co-located at the client site. The client requires all contractors/consultants/vendors who work or visit the site be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Institute of Asset Management certificate.
  • Experience in A/E/C industry
  • Familiarity with ESRI GIS, MS Access, SQL Server, and Enterprise Asset Management systems (e.g., Maximo, SAP, Cartegraph, Oracle WAM, and Azteca Cityworks)
  • Ability and willingness to travel (limited)
