Job Description

Account Representatives are an entry-level sales position within Rand SIM with a focus on new customer acquisition in strategic states and existing customer retention/growth within the Value segment of our customer base. ARs will sell Ansys engineering simulation software, renewals, training and consulting services across all major market sectors within their targeted states and customer account base. This sales role is now required as Rand SIM Account Managers spend their time focused on growing accounts within our Major/Growth segments of our customer base and no longer have the bandwidth to conduct new logo prospecting efforts. ARs will ensure Rand SIM consistently secures new customer logos (outside of Ansys leads) while creating an internal bench for promotion candidates into Account Manager roles.


Responsibilities will include:

  1. Outbound prospecting efforts into strategic states to support new logo sales
  2. Leading all activities across the entire sales cycle for new logo sales and sales within the AR’s named Value accounts
  3. Leading client and prospect interactions throughout the buying process to ensure proper qualification, needs assessment, differentiation, ROI and a smooth implementation
  4. Serving as a trusted business advisor to develop and maintain relationships with current and prospective clients across all levels of the organization
  5. Creating and delivering sales presentations that match solution offerings with identified needs while securing stakeholder endorsement
  6. Ongoing nurturing and client satisfaction to ensure competitive insulation and identification of new value-added solutions
  7. Identifying, researching and connecting with prospective clients to maintain a high volume of sales activity and pipeline for achieving sales objectives
  8. Coordinating sales efforts and campaigns with sales leadership, marketing, engineering and accounting for a streamlined process and tactical execution of strategic planning
  9. Accurately forecasting product sales, renewal revenues and consulting services
  10. Efficiently leveraging SalesForce.com CRM to manage and track all activities related to sales opportunities
  11. Collaborating with engineering to communicate sales objectives, level-set expectations and relay clients’ technical feedback


Qualifications

  1. 1+ years experience in either an engineering or quota-carrying sales role with a proven track record of success
  2. Demonstrated understanding of engineering analysis and technology
  3. Ability to diagnose business needs before prescribing technical solutions
  4. Naturally curious with a passion for making connections
  5. Ability and willingness to connect and sell comfortably at VP and C-levels
  6. Unwavering persistence, tenacity and creativity in prospecting (phone/email/social)
  7. Excellent communication, written and organizational skills
  8. Desire to perform all interactions with integrity, respect and transparency
  9. Fluency in SalesForce.com and LinkedIn
  10. Willingness to travel up to 20%
  11. Knowledge of ANSYS products/services a plus

Compensation:

  1. Year 1 Total Compensation (base salary + commissions) Range: $55,000 - $110,000
