Job Description:

If you desire an opportunity to help the Navy and Military Sealift Command (MSC), Serco has a great opportunity for you! As a Naval Project Manager, you will be on a team that is evaluating and managing the delivery of the latest in an established class of expeditionary seagoing vessels.

 

This position is contingent upon your ability to maintain/transfer your active Secret clearance pre-employment.


Serco supports the US Navy and MSC via a subcontract that leverages decades of experience with the acquisition and design of multiple ship platforms for both organizations.

 

You will be part of a team committed to providing demonstrated expertise in program management, engineering, logistics and post-delivery support. You will work closely with Government and industry professionals as well as shipbuilders and other support personnel. In this role, you will:

  • Support our Navy client by managing efforts related to acquisition documentation development/review, change management, process development/review, correspondence, briefs, and risk assessments.
  • Plan and assist in the conduct of regular meetings and other events between the Navy and the Shipbuilder.
  • Coordinate with numerous internal and external stakeholders as required.


Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5-7 years of related defense acquisition experience.
  • Must be able to maintain/transfer an active DoD Secret clearance pre-employment.
  • Must be US citizen.
  • Knowledge of DoD acquisition management, contract, technical and business management.
  • Understanding of DoD contracts and contract analysis and knowledge of DoD contracting processes particularly as relates to ACAT I shipbuilding programs.
  • 10% travel required

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Amphibious Ship and/or Sealift Ship experience
