We’re looking for a frontend developer who’s curious, fast-learning, and eager to grow. You’ll join a small, fast-moving team where your code won’t just be deployed — it’ll be used in real hospitals to screen patients, power research, and support better care.

At Upstream Vision, we’re building the clinical operating system for a more efficient and inclusive future of research and care. Our SaaS platform enables hospitals and trial sponsors to identify the right patients more efficiently, coordinate care teams, and capture high-quality data across a range of therapeutic areas, including neurology, oncology, and rare diseases.

You’ll build interfaces that matter — and develop real product and technical ownership along the way.

What You’ll Do

1. Build and maintain responsive UI components using React and TypeScript
2. Implement user-facing features based on evolving product requirements
3. Collaborate with back-end engineers and company leadership to define and deliver features in fast-paced sprint cycles
4. Improve performance, accessibility, and consistency across the platform
5. Participate in code reviews and contribute to shared architecture and design patterns
6. Take ownership of features while learning and iterating continuously
7. Work with a modern tech stack and development workflow (React, TypeScript, GitHub, Vite, Tailwind)

What We’re Looking For

Must-haves

1. 1–2 years of experience in front-end development (internships, freelance, or full-time)
2. Strong proficiency with React and component-based architectures
3. Proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
4. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
5. Strong desire to build real-world tools with impact

Nice-to-haves

1. Experience architecting and delivering complete applications
2. Familiarity with Tailwind CSS or similar frameworks
3. Exposure to HIPAA compliance requirements or healthcare workflows
4. Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG)
5. Experience in fast-moving, collaborative environments
6. Experience with React Native or mobile development is a plus
