Factory Supervisor – Position Available
Key Responsibilities:
- Hire, train and supervise production employees, such as assemblers, packers and equipment operators
- Create work schedules, assigning tasks and coordinate manufacturing activities
- Allocate resources such as equipment and personnel, to maintain production standards
- Estimate manufacturing cost and identify ways to reduce them
- Evaluate employee’s performance and coach production teams
- Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure finished goods meet quality standards
- Monitor production output and adjust processes as necessary to meet deadlines
- Working directly with Directors
- Provide training and resources to ensure production teams understand safety protocols
- Health and Safety knowledge is a must
- Prepare production reports for senior management
- Make decisions relate to production, such as staffing and scheduling decisions
- As a factory manager, you may be responsible for tracking different types of inventories throughout all phases of production
Skills and Experience:
Technical Skills:
- Manufacturing Process Knowledge:
A deep understanding of production processes, techniques, and machinery is crucial.
- Technical Expertise:
This includes knowledge of emerging technologies and industry-specific software and tools.
- Equipment Maintenance:
Ability to manage and oversee the maintenance and repair of production equipment.
Leadership and Management Skills:
- Leadership & Team Management:
Motivating and inspiring teams, delegating effectively, and fostering a positive work environment.
- Project Management:
Planning, organizing, and managing projects from start to finish, including resource allocation and risk management.
- Time Management:
Effectively managing schedules, deadlines, and workload to meet production targets.
Soft Skills:
- Problem-Solving: Identifying, analysing, and resolving production issues efficiently.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with staff, management, and external parties.
- Interpersonal Skills: Building strong relationships with team members, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Adaptability: Adjusting to changing production schedules, technologies, and regulations.
- Continuous Improvement: Implementing process improvements and striving for efficiency gains.
Other Important Skills:
- Safety & Compliance: Ensuring adherence to safety regulations and industry standards.
- Quality Assurance: Maintaining and improving product quality through quality control measures.
- Analytical Skills: Using data and reports to identify areas for improvement and make informed decisions.
- 5 Years plus experience required
- Must have experience in the Meat Industry
