Overview:
As the Digital Media Manager at MidAmerica Nazarene University, you will help shape our brand across a variety of media – including Internet, social media, email, digital billboards, and other emerging channels. You must be passionate about Christian higher education, possess a keen eye for visual storytelling, and have a proven track record in developing engaging photo and video content. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing our digital presence and showcasing the unique aspects of our institution to prospective students, current students, alumni, and the broader community. This position is based at the MNU campus in Olathe, KS; however, remote work opportunities exist during times of heavy work volume.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation (50%):
- Develop compelling and visually stunning photo and video content that aligns with the institution's brand and values.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to capture the essence of academic programs, campus life, events, and other relevant activities.
- Provide regular updates and reports on the performance of digital media initiatives to the leadership team.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously enhance content quality.
Digital Strategy (10%):
- Implement and manage a comprehensive digital media strategy to increase engagement and reach across various digital platforms.
- Work closely with the University Communications team to integrate digital media into overall communications campaigns and initiatives.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of digital content, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Social Media Management (30%):
- Oversee the institution's social media channels, ensuring consistent and engaging content that resonates with the target audience.
- Develop and implement social media campaigns that showcase the institution's achievements, events, and community impact.
- Foster community engagement through responding to comments, messages, and fostering online conversations.
Brand Management (10%):
- Uphold and reinforce the institution's brand guidelines in all digital media content.
- Ensure consistency in messaging and visual identity across all digital platforms.
- Contribute to the development and evolution of the institution's brand through innovative and creative digital media strategies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or a related field.
- Proven experience in digital media management, with a focus on photo and video content development.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant digital media tools.
- Excellent understanding of social media platforms, analytics, and trends.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
