Plenitud PR is a 501c3 non-profit organization serving individuals and communities by sharing knowledge for a sustainable and harmonious life from our learning center Las Marias, PR. Plenitud has been a leader in offering environmental educational services to farmers, students, and others since 2010. We are working to meet increased demand for education in long-term solutions like the construction of emergency shelters, rainwater harvesting systems, school gardens, and agroecology. The goal of this VISTA project is to build the capacity of Plenitud to continue and expand the educational services that the organization provides. The Communications Developer will strengthen, build and develop the media work at Plenitud PR to streamline, standardize and improve internal and external communication tools. As Plenitud PRs reach and base of followers has grown and developed, there is a greater need to develop and educate through the social media platforms. The VISTA will be responsible for developing these tools to increase the social media educational impact. In addition, they will focus on increasing Plenitud PRs communication capacity through the creation of systems for: media documentation, data impact, and website. This position requires a creative and self-directed candidate with photography, design and marketing experience, good interpersonal skills who is comfortable working with a dynamic team on real grassroots-level service. They must be highly organized and comfortable with computers and web-based technology. The position will run for one year from October 23, 2023 until October 21, 2024. Member Duties : The goal of this VISTA project is to build the capacity of Plenitud to continue and expand the educational services that the organization provides to farmers, students, and community leaders in order to promote community-based economic development and environmental stewardship in Puerto Rico. The Plenitud VISTA members will focus on further developing Plenitud PRs design and architecture project and in doing so create tools and systems for educational and on-farm use.
