About the Role

As an Analytics Engineer I / II, you’ll play a hands-on role in building, modeling, and maintaining high-quality analytics-ready data assets. Working closely with senior analytics engineers and analysts, you’ll help transform curated data into reliable models that power reporting, dashboards, and decision-making across the business.

This role is ideal for someone early in their analytics engineering career who has strong SQL fundamentals, growing dbt experience, and a desire to learn best practices for building scalable, production-grade data models in a modern cloud environment.

What You’ll Do

  1. Build and maintain analytics-ready data models using dbt
  2. Develop well-documented, reusable datasets to support reporting and insights
  3. Partner with analytics engineering and data teams to align with existing data layers
  4. Write clean, efficient SQL to transform and validate data
  5. Implement dbt tests to ensure data accuracy and reliability
  6. Support business teams including Underwriting, Claims, Finance, and Product
  7. Contribute to version-controlled analytics workflows using Git

What We’re Looking For

  1. 1–4 years of experience in data analytics or analytics engineering
  2. Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with dbt
  3. Exposure to Databricks or similar cloud data platforms
  4. Familiarity with modern data modeling concepts and analytics workflows
  5. Experience working in collaborative, Git-based environments
  6. Curiosity, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn and grow

Nice to Have

  1. Experience supporting insurance or financial services analytics
  2. Familiarity with medallion architecture concepts
  3. Exposure to BI or analytics tools (e.g., dashboards, notebooks)
  4. Interest in improving data quality, documentation, and usability
