Main areas of responsibility:

1. Develop and maintain high-availability ecommerce websites for a seamless user experience
2. Oversee front-end and back-end projects, Web services integration, development of custom Adobe Commerce extensions, sites enhancements and optimization, resolution of issues, and SEO
3. Optimize web applications for performance, security, and scalability
4. Oversee work, delegation, & code review for both in-house and partner devs
5. Independently troubleshoot and resolve complex bugs in both frontend and backend code
6. Integrate enterprise applications with the platform through APIs
7. Monitor websites for availability and performance issues reviews
8. Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset, ability to research and iterate on ideal system and application configurations for optimization and reliability
9. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for testing and releasing configuration and software
10. Maintain the security of the e-commerce platform to protect customer data, prevent fraudulent activity and adhere to PCI compliance
11. Analyze and understand customizations in Adobe Commerce projects
12. Independently troubleshoot and resolve complex bugs in both frontend and backend code
13. Develop new features, modules, and integrations based on business requirements
14. Participate in code reviews and enforce best coding practices
15. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Business, QA, and Solution Architects
16. Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design patterns, coding guidelines, and project documentation

Basic Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field
2. 3+ years of professional software development experience in an Agile development environment
3. Minimum of 3 years of experience with:
4. Developing Adobe Commerce / Magento websites; Adobe Certified Expert - Adobe Commerce Developer
5. Object-oriented programming using PHP; ability to write PHP backend code to integrate with other internal and 3rd-party systems
6. Writing web front-end code using HTML, CSS and JavaScript for storefront pages
7. Using Git version control or other equivalent tools
8. Strong understanding of Adobe Commerce Cloud infrastructure, including Fastly and New Relic
9. Experience with containers and container orchestration
10. Experience with testing methodologies, including automated testing
11. Expertise with Azure is a plus
12. Exposure to B2B module, PWA Studio, or headless implementations
13. Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, web application security, and HTTP/HTTPS
14. Strong skills in performance optimization and caching techniques
15. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through
16. Effective cross-functional collaborator; Strong communication skills are essential for working with teammates, stakeholders, and agency partners

2. Reports to office HQ in Bellevue, Washington
3. Work Schedule: 4 days in office, 1 day work from home
