We’re building a flexible WordPress framework to spin up beautiful, modular websites—leveraging custom content modules alongside native Gutenberg blocks. As a Mid-Level WordPress Developer, you’ll turn designs and IA blueprints into robust, maintainable solutions: from custom Gutenberg blocks and ACF integrations to plugins and themes.

Responsibilities:

  1. Architect, build, and maintain custom Gutenberg blocks using React and the WordPress Block API.
  2. Develop ACF-powered block types and integrate them seamlessly into our block library.
  3. Create custom plugins to extend WordPress core functionality, adhering to best practices and security standards.
  4. Build and customize WordPress themes—ensuring responsive, performant, and accessible front-end implementations.
  5. Collaborate with designers, content strategists, and DevOps to translate IA and wireframes into working code.
  6. Manage code in Git repositories, participate in code reviews, branch strategies, and resolve merge conflicts.
  7. Troubleshoot and optimize WordPress performance, including PHP, JS, and database layers.
  8. Document code, block patterns, and deployment processes for team use.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
  2. 3 years of professional WordPress development experience.
  3. Proven experience creating custom Gutenberg blocks with React.
  4. Hands-on experience building ACF block types.
  5. Strong proficiency with Git version control in a team environment.
  6. Experience developing custom WordPress plugins and themes from the ground up.
  7. Solid understanding of PHP, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
  8. Familiarity with REST APIs and integrating third-party services.
  9. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to maintainable, well-documented code.

Nice-to-Haves

  1. Experience working with Bootstrap or other CSS frameworks.
  2. Familiarity with Web Components (Stencil, LitElement, etc.).
  3. Prior work integrating third-party APIs (payment gateways, CRM, analytics).
