A unit of the Provost’s office and led by the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education. The Office of Undergraduate Education (OUE) challenges students to become accomplished learners who can make meaningful connections between work, study, and community.
Develop, test, implement and maintain web-based applications as assigned within a campus unit. Troubleshoot website problems and issues and develop solutions and application improvements. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: management and staff within assigned unit and personnel within the Office of Information Technology. Web Developer
Job Duty 1 - Confer with unit management regarding web application content requirements and status.
Job Duty 2 - Conduct web-based application development and implementation consistent with unit needs.
Job Duty 3 - Maintain assigned applications providing resolution of issues in a timely manner.
Job Duty 4 - Respond to specialized needs of the unit relative to its website(s).
Job Duty 5 - Maintain required documentation related to unit web applications.
Job Duty 6 - Prepare and present status reports regarding web applications.
Job Duty 7 - Perform other duties as assigned.
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Required Experience
One to two years of job-related experience
Preferred Language: English
Preferred Experience: 5 - 7 years’ experience; 1 – 4 years’ experience turning design files into responsive, accessible, and editable pages for the web; Familiar with Drupal 7-10 and Drupal extensions; Familiar with WordPress and Plug-ins

SKILLS
This job requires working knowledge and skills in configuration and deployment of web applications including database design, web base scripting languages and web standards. Additionally, skills in presentation, customer service and problem solving are required.
