We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic Part-Time Web Content Coordinator to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin or grow their career in web management and digital marketing.
Initially, this role will focus on the essential day-to-day tasks of keeping our website fresh and accurate, including posting workshops, updating pages, and preparing images. You will work directly under the guidance of our Director of Technology, who will provide mentorship and training in the more advanced technical aspects of web management, including site maintenance, SEO, and analytics.
The ideal candidate is a proactive learner, highly organized, and passionate about the web. We are looking for someone we can invest in, who can grow with us as we continue to improve our digital presence and automate our workflows.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core Content Management
- Perform regular content updates across the website, including text, images, and forms.
- Create and manage workshop and product pages using WordPress templates.
- Prepare and optimize images for web use using Adobe Photoshop.
- Ensure all content is well-formatted, free of errors, and consistent with our brand guidelines.
Growth & Learning Responsibilities
- Assist the Director of Technology with the website update process, following established protocols for testing and deployment.
- Learn to use Google Analytics and Search Console to track site performance and identify issues.
- Help build and update landing pages, learning about best practices for user experience (UX) and conversion.
- Over time, learn to identify and report site errors, plugin conflicts, and other technical issues.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Required
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets).
- Experience with a content management system (CMS) like WordPress, Squarespace, or similar is a strong plus.
- Basic image editing skills (resizing, compressing) using Adobe Photoshop or a similar tool.
- A genuine eagerness to learn new software, technologies, and digital marketing principles.
Preferred (Bonus Points)
- A basic understanding of HTML and CSS.
- Familiarity with WooCommerce.
- An eye for good design and an interest in user experience (UX/UI).
- Experience managing a social media account or blog.
