Job Description:

Our client is currently seeking to add a VP of Investor Services, this would be an addition to head-count due to growth. This individual will be responsible for managing/developing firms Investor Services / Client Relations, and assisting Head of Business Development with all new business initiatives.

 

Primary duties and responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Head of Marketing/Head of Capital Raising and business development efforts
  • Responsible for all aspects of day to day project management including new business development
  • Develop and nurture relationships with sophisticated institutional investors, such as: pension funds, endowments, foundations, family offices, and related financial companies
  • Attend meetings, industry events, and conferences with PM’s to meet with potential investors and to represent the firm
  • Prepare & present due diligence findings to investment committees, Senior Management and Firm Clients.
  • Manage full range of marketing activities including daily interaction with existing and prospective limited partners, fund raising, and client communication.
  • Assist in the development of strategic and analytical frameworks for investment product development

 

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience, with at least 5 years of experience in sales, strategy consulting/ investment bank, or direct Hedge Fund Marketing/Investor Relations.
  • Strong and well-developed analytic, problem-solving and quantitative skill, with exceptional attention to detail
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Marketing or a related field.
  • Advanced degree (MBA) strongly preferred
  • Results-orientation with an ability to take initiative, execute and complete deliverables in a timely manner
  • Deep understanding of Hedge Fund/Alternative Asset Management
  • Strong leadership potential, with excellent inter-personal skills and collaboration abilities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to interact with all levels of the organization
