Job Summary
Experiential Learning & Activities is seeking a Visual Media Adviser. This is a full-time (1.00 FTE), 12-month, professional faculty position.
The Orange Media Network (OMN) Visual Media Adviser (“Adviser”) works within the Experiential Learning & Activities (ELA) organization. The Adviser will advise, guide, train, and provide feedback to students creating visual media across all media platforms at Orange Media Network (OMN), the student media organization at Oregon State University. At OMN, we strive to lead the field of college media by elevating diverse student voices through innovative, accessible hands-on media and leadership experiences that challenge views, engage the community and celebrate resilience.
The Adviser operates from an equity lens, prioritizing equity in the workplace and when working with the OSU community. They create an environment that leverages the strengths of student staff, promotes synergy and teamwork, empowers the students, and challenges all team members to learn and grow. The Adviser serves as a subject matter expert on visual media.
This position requires a dynamic, responsive, caring leader capable of prioritizing tasks, adapting to changes, working independently, and supporting the needs of students without taking away their autonomy and decision-making abilities.
