Visual Editor, Health Group is needed for a contract opportunity with our client in the entertainment industry.
- 6+ month contract (with the possibility of extension)
- $35.00/hr
- 100% Remote (must work east coast hours)
Overview
We are looking for a digitally-savvy candidate with an excellent eye for design and detail who can manage workflows for visual assets, work closely with illustrators and designers, source images that align with each brand, and create copy to inform visuals that meet editorial goals. The ideal candidate is passionate about health and wellness themes, as well as parenting and
pregnancy topics, and has first-class communication and project management skills. Previous
experience working in a creative, fast-paced environment is a must.
We’re looking for someone to:
- Partner with Health design team and brand leadership to develop and advance a consistent visual identity across all digital platforms, including social, email, and video.
- Work with cross-functional teams, particularly editorial teams and the Visual Asset Team (VAT), to drive visual assets strategies forward against a budget.
- Source, edit, and optimize visual content, including photography, illustrations, composites, and templates that aligns with best practices, voice, and visual identity.
- Edit photos and perform image processing tasks to align with ongoing new content creation and larger editorial initiatives.
- Manage all visual asset workflows and best practices, including new content, existing franchises, and large-scale visual asset update projects.
- Collaborate with freelance designers and illustrators by writing creative briefs for visuals, reviewing sketches, providing feedback, and publishing final assets.
- Work with the VAT team to hire diverse freelance designers and illustrators.
- Organize and produce original photography shoots as needed, based on brand priorities.
What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- 2-3 years’ experience working in a visual production role, or in a similar role.
- Collaborative team plyer with a can-do attitude and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills, organizational and project management skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
- Ability to write and edit creative briefs that provide visual direction to freelance talent.
- Excellent eye for researching, selecting, and/or creating visual assets that make content shine across digital platforms.
- Tech-savvy, skilled in Photoshop, basic graphic design skills and an understanding of basic design principles.
- Familiar working in a CMS, with social media platforms, and with other design tools.
