As the UX & UI Web Developer at Daisy, you will be the primary contact and manager for all aspects of the company's website and web properties. You will ensure that our digital presence is cutting-edge, mobile-first, reliable, and accessible, while maintaining alignment with our brand and business goals. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, creative problem-solving, and a deep understanding of user experience (UX) design.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary contact and manager for all aspects of the company website and web properties.
- Own and execute website maintenance requests, ensuring the website is up-to-date, running smoothly, and free of bugs and glitches.
- Ensure SaaS hosting reliability by creating response plans for server downtimes, performing website backups, and ensuring overall site reliability.
- Optimize and build websites for mobile design, ensuring adaptive and responsive functionality across all devices.
- Ensure all web properties comply with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) international standards.
- Encourage and facilitate consistent, creative, and unified web design across the organization's web properties.
- Maintain and document ownership of internet domains and DNS configurations.
- Assist employees with managing company websites by implementing requests, offering one-on-one support, providing user guides, and leading training sessions.
- Coordinate with marketing and technology teams, designers, and programmers to ensure data accuracy and the functionality of websites, pages, and other online platforms.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards, including software licenses and applicable state and federal laws and regulations related to data security, privacy, and intellectual property.
- Maintain current knowledge of best practices and emerging developments in web design, web development, and technology.
- Perform other related duties as assigned, including the management and development of digital templates (e.g., CRM templates, FranConnect templates, SharePoint sites/intranet).
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Extensive knowledge of website management, analytics, design, and SEO best practices and standards.
- Proficient in WordPress with experience in editing content, design, code, plugins, and understanding the platform's capabilities.
- Experience with additional platforms such as Joomla, Drupal, or custom CMSs is a plus.
- Working knowledge of the latest web design standards.
- Experience with web design on larger scale websites; multi-location or franchise experience is highly desirable.
- Creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to design innovative solutions.
- Knowledge of API integration with websites and CRMs.
- Proficiency or the ability to quickly learn web content management systems, applications, and tools used by the organization.
- Highly proficient with HTML/CSS; working knowledge of PHP, XML, SQL, JavaScript, and other programming languages.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong UX design experience.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in web development and UX design.
- Proven track record of managing and improving web properties, particularly in a multi-location or franchise environment.
