Job Description:

The Training Coordinator is responsible for developing unique training and programs for Schaefer Plastic North America, LLC and their employees. Their duties include speaking with Department Heads in Manufacturing to determine training needs, implementing programs, and delivery of training to employees. All records and maintained in compliance with Local, State and Federal Law.

Essential Functions:

  • Create training schedules for all Company departments, track and create reports on outcomes of all training, and maintain training records for the Company
  • Train new hires on Company policies, work instructions, and procedures and use the best training methods for a specific purpose or audience
  • Gather and evaluate information from employees and management on previous training to identify weaknesses and areas that need additional training
  • Work nights and weekends occasionally as needed to fulfill duties
  • Assist the Safety Manager in delivering and recording Safety Training
  • Write work instructions as needed
  • Support ISO9001 system and audits by being prepared to be audited internally and externally
  • Recruit and train new trainers on shift to assist with training needs
  • Inform employees on scheduled training and track their progress
  • Create and maintain training manuals
  • Maintain training logs and renewals
  • Recommend training materials and methods, order and maintain in-house training resources and facilities
  • Complete other duties assigned by the Manager

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Observe in Production and Coach Employees on the proper work steps
  • Provide feedback to Shift Leaders and Managers
  • Assist with employee concerns

Qualification Requirements:

  • Excellent time management skills, public speaking skills, problem-solving skills, and both verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in word processing and presentation software
  • Ability to operate media equipment such as projectors and personal computers
  • Knowledge of traditional and modern training methods and techniques
  • Exceptional organization skills, leadership, and interpersonal skills
