Big Rivers Marketing is a premier Manufacturers Representative Agency in the Midwest representing some of the best manufacturers in the plumbing, industrial, and HVAC channels. We are looking for a motivated Territory Manager to join our team in Kansas City.
The ideal candidate will possess a competitive drive to succeed and the ability to develop strong relationships at multiple levels within our industry. Our territory managers have the flexibility to set their own schedules and enjoy unlimited earning potential. Industry experience preferred in plumbing, HVAC, or construction but not required. This is an entry level sales position with opportunity for account and territory growth after gaining experience . Must be located in Kansas City Metro or willing to relocate.
Responsibilities
- Create demand at several levels of the sales channel including wholesaler, contractor, design professional, & showroom consultant
- New commercial project tracking from inception to the close of a sale
- Use of our CRM tools for call reporting, opportunity tracking, and sales tracking
- Present product and installation training information in front of groups
- Development of sales plan for territory by manufacturer
- Work with agency Inside Sales team and Manufacturer personnel to solve problems
- Ability to work from a home office
- Comfortable with a compensation system that is a base plus commission tied directly to sales after one year
Qualifications
- Excellent face to face people skills
- Superior problem-solving skills
- Can adapt quickly to changing task list
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required
- Experience in Sales, Account Management, or Product Marketing is preferred
- Experience using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is a minimum requirement
- Possesses valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle
- Some overnight travel required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
Incentive Based Compensation Plan includes Company Medical Plan, Paid Vacation, Paid Holidays, and 401K Retirement Plan.
