Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Technical Editor, we'll count on you to:
 

  • Working with technical staff to develop content for qualifications, proposals, and reports, we’ll count on you to: In the role of Technical Writer, we'll count on you to:
  • Contribute to client development initiatives and activities including target audience messaging
  • Create, edit, format and revise client-facing materials using a variety of mediums including print and video
  • Contribute to concept development, writing and editing of marketing materials such as technical proposals, reports, handouts, presentations, and videos
  • Coordinate with other creative disciplines including marketing staff, graphic designers, to maintain consistency of message and brand
  • Lead or support other communications efforts as needed, including direct client support, internal communications and client business development
  • Perform marketing and other related duties as needed
     

Preferred Qualifications
 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing or relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years related experience in communications, public relations, public involvement and/or community engagement.
  • Proven ability to develop compelling stories that strengthen messaging and engagement strategies for a program, initiative or project.
  • Experience collaborating with client mangers, marketing staff & graphic designers, to ensure cohesive message and user experience.
  • Experience writing for multiple mediums including print, and audio/video.
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Service and client-oriented personality with the ability to handle multiple assignments at a time and set and meet deadlines
  • Self-starter; can work well independently or in a team environment
  • Previous consulting experience preferred
  • Preference given to local candidate

The expected compensation range for this position is $75,425 - $107,750 annually depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.)
