Job Summary
As part of the continued evolution of our Talent Acquisition function, we are looking for a Talent Acquisition Manager, leading a team to support North American recruitment.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about talent acquisition, leading direct sourcing orientated teams and focused on finding the very best talent to support organisational growth and success. This role will be the go-to for all North American related Talent Acquisition and part of the global Talent Acquisition team.
You will champion our new talent acquisition approach & strategy, challenge the status quo and take a diverse & inclusive approach to acquiring talent.
The successful candidate will need to understand our organisational skill requirements both now and in the future, building the right internal and external talent pipelines accordingly and is a critical hire to support our organisational growth aspirations.
Working closely with the Head of Talent Acquisition, this is an excellent opportunity to own, develop and lead our recruitment efforts in North America.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute on the North American recruitment required to achieve the Beazley talent acquisition strategy which is aligned to the business and people strategy and 5-year plan.
- Have a direct sourcing orientated approach to mid-senior level recruitment, leading by a example and performing full lifecycle recruiting to support critical hiring within the organisation
- Create bespoke sourcing strategies to attract high quality, diverse, active and passive candidates by sourcing, maintaining candidate pipelines, pursuing referrals and developing meaningful relationships
- Develop advanced regional recruitment strategies to ensure talent pools are actively created and nurtured in key locations across North America
- Manage workloads across the team to ensure that recruitment campaigns are adequately resourced, managing BAU recruitment campaigns directly as needed to meet demand
- Ensure that Beazley engage and attract a diverse talent pool in North America through:
- Ensure the recruitment team manage and monitor diversity of candidates throughout the recruitment process, from application through to interview stage and beyond;
o Apply inclusive practices and processes, ensuring our approach to hiring and selection is fair, consistent, and not open to bias
o Work with the Inclusion Partner to develop and maintain relationships with external partners and networks to achieve these goals
- Be the key point of contact for stakeholders in your location, working with the business partner teams to ensure you understand their teams resourcing plans, as well as local presence needs, and support them in managing their headcount as appropriate
- Work with stakeholders globally to ensure there is a greater understanding about talent across the business and building the internal talent marketplace
- Work with your EMEA counterpart, managing the preferred supplier list, ensuring North America specific needs are accounted for and agency partnerships are cost effective and fit for purpose in location
- Work with the Head of Talent Acquisition to with a focus on developing our employer brand and other key projects within North America to support Beazley’s recruitment goals and target the right talent in the market
- Work with the Early Careers function to source and assess talent in this space, including the development of our brand and targeting recruitment events where needed
- Work with the rest of the team to design a best-in-class candidate experience that is effective at identifying individuals with the ability to succeed in our business. Ensure that the candidate experience is at the forefront when taking decisions.
- Working with the broader Talent Acquisition team, ensure that the recruitment budget is managed and monitored appropriately. This should include budget setting, managing accruals within your team as well as ensuring the most cost-effective recruitment practices are being used to achieve budget.
Team Leadership and Management:
- Responsible for the day-to-day management of the North American Recruitment team, reviewing and assessing the resources and skills needed for the team to be successful
- Drive a culture of curiosity; championing our new TA strategy with a desire to do things differently, better, and more efficiently; a passion for data and how it can drive business decisions.
- Promote teamwork across Culture and People and centralised support teams, and open, honest, and constructive communication.
- Ensure, through recruitment, retention, development, and performance management that all team members have the knowledge and the skills necessary to perform effectively in their given roles and responsibilities.
- Ensure team act within the Beazley cultural framework of being professional and acting with integrity, efficiency, and dynamism.
Skills & Experience
- Significant level of experience in leading teams and recruiting mid-senior level appointments, ideally in-house or RPO
- Experience working within the Insurance industry or Financial Services (highly desirable)
- Demonstrable management experience with team members in different locations
- Proven and demonstrable direct sourcing skills using variety of web-based tools and search strings, especially LinkedIn
- Excellent communication skills with a natural ability to build rapport quickly and establish credibility with team members, wider C&P and senior stakeholders
- Experience working across multiple geographies in North America and building/managing sustainable relationships with TA/BP teams, executives, senior managers, and other stakeholders
- A high degree of customer focus putting both candidate and manager experience at the forefront
- Proven experience in assessing, qualifying, interviewing, and screening potential candidates for both technical and non-technical roles
- Proven ability to take initiative, adapt quickly to changing priorities, and build strong, productive relationships
- Continuous improvement mindset with experience in leading TA Projects of varying scale and complexity
