Server-side support including install, upgrade, configuration, backup, and troubleshooting for the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) in use at the College of Veterinary Medicine Clinics and Diagnostic Lab. This includes Linux, PostGres, Jaspersoft and Instrument manager support.
Radiology systems support including Linac and PACS systems and servers.
Legacy research equipment support including communication with vendors to identify solutions, upgrades, and workarounds.
Other Windows server support including camera DVR systems, building access systems, and animal environment monitoring systems.
Special project support and management as needed.
Salary
$48,900 - $68,000 Commensurate with experience
Shift
Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm
Weekend and after hours on-call service may be required.
Minimum Qualifications
Broad range of LAN and desktop knowledge skills.
Expansive knowledge of desktop/workstation hardware/software/operating systems (configuration and connectivity).
Advanced Linux and Windows Server experience.
Excellent technical knowledge and aptitude in the areas of networks, network topologies, and network file servers, applicable software, and troubleshooting techniques.
Familiarity with systems administration and security principles.
Familiarity with enterprise management technology for Windows and Macintosh platforms Familiarity with Active Directory and Exchange.
Familiarity with installation, maintenance, and support of wireless technologies.
Strong verbal and written communication skills sufficient to interact with a variety of users, vendors and other technical staff.
Strong customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
2 to 3 years experience performing server support in higher education
