Staff Backend Engineer - Golang

We’re working with a high-growth SaaS company looking for a Staff Backend Engineer to join one of their core backend teams.

This is a fully remote US-based opportunity, offering strong technical ownership, strategic visibility, and equity. You’ll play a key role in evolving the infrastructure behind a platform serving millions of users, with a strong focus on integrating modern AI tooling to accelerate engineering workflows.

🧠 What you’ll do:

1. Build and scale services using Golang
2. Optimize complex systems involving distributed caching and large datasets
3. Collaborate with product, analytics, and infrastructure teams
4. Integrate AI tools into development workflows to enhance speed and quality
5. Drive improvements in architecture, testing, and deployment using tools like VS Code and Git

✅ What we’re looking for:

Must-haves:

1. 6–8+ years experience building scalable production systems
2. Deep expertise in Golang, SQL, Git, and Memcached (or similar)
3. Strong experience working in cloud environments (GCP, AWS, etc.)
4. Excellent communication and leadership skills
5. Comfortable with remote debugging and development via VS Code

Nice-to-haves:

1. Experience with PHP and Google Bigtable
2. Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools
3. Background in high-volume, parallelized, asynchronous systems
4. Experience navigating complex permission and security models
