About the Role

We’re seeking a skilled, self-directed software engineer to take responsibility for maintaining, optimizing, and evolving a commercially launched AI platform for stock research. You'll work across the backend to ensure the platform continues to run reliably and efficiently, and you'll be expected to scope and implement improvements as the platform grows. In addition to managing our AI platform, you’ll also contribute to other internal software projects, including tools that support marketing automation and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

1. Maintain and enhance our custom developed AI chatbot, including performance, stability, and new feature development
2. Write and manage backend code using Python, FastAPI, and related tools
3. Work with graph-based data structures and version control systems
4. Build and maintain clean, scalable APIs
5. Support other software systems as needed, including tools used for internal operations and marketing support
6. Collaborate with non-technical stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions
7. Handle debugging, testing, deployment, and documentation

Required Skills & Experience

1. Strong technical background with hands-on experience in
2. Python
3. FastAPI
4. Landgraph (or similar graph-based data tools)
5. Linechange (or Git-like version control systems)
6. PHP
7. APIs and cloud infrastructure
8. A track record of maintaining and iterating on production-grade software
9. Solid understanding of cloud architecture, security, and data processing
10. Ability to work independently and take full responsibility for technical outcomes
11. Clear communication skills and the ability to scope work realistically

Bonus Points For

1. Experience with AI/ML applications, especially in NLP or chatbot systems
2. Familiarity with investor tools, financial data, or SEC filing formats
3. Exposure to MarTech platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Google Analytics)
4. DevOps or CI/CD pipeline experience
5. Degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
