Position Summary:

myCOI is looking for a technology manager with a proven track record in building modern cloud-based and highly maintainable solutions in a complex SaaS environment. Working alongside the different department leads, you will lead the overall development, project planning, and software development standards for our product. In this role, you will act as a liaison that sits between the developers and the core product team. This position is ideal for a seasoned engineer with prior leadership experience looking to take on a role that will help drive innovation and product completeness. Required Knowledge & Skills:

  • Accountable to quality on-time delivery, working closely with the product team to manage scope for projects
  • Supervise, performance manage and delegate duties to the development teams onshore, near shore and offshore
  • Hire, mentor, train, and coach Software Development Engineers at different levels of experience
  • Manage and execute against project plans, delivering commitments within a professional, high paced engineering environment
  • Own all operational metrics, reporting and proposals for your team
  • Participate in all grooming and priority setting sessions with stakeholders
  • Develop technical aspects of the company’s software strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals
  • Interface directly with all other departments within the organization on both tactical and strategic initiatives regarding the Development team
  • Drive new features and components that align with business goals and push our mission forward
  • Use stakeholders’ feedback to inform necessary improvements and adjustments to technology working with IT, Product and UX teams
  • Establish and refine development standards for the team
  • Hold regular meetings to ensure open communication and expectations throughout a project
  • Address customer and/or business concerns in reference to products, services rendered, or employee interactions
  • Actively seek to resolve any concerns while adhering to the company policy and standards of behavior
  • Ensure proper communication concerning changes in established milestones or challenges that may affect the outcome of a project's completion date

 

Technical Requirements:

  • Previous work in Cloud-hosted revenue driven SaaS environment in a B2B or B2B2C company, or equivalent required
  • 2-3 years management experience leading front and backend teams to successful delivery of software
  • Experience with the .NET Framework (4.7, Core, 6); React is preferred but not required
  • 5+ years of experience in developing and maintaining scalable cloud solutions
  • Experience with product management and user experience teams
  • Experience with SAFe Agile methodologies, and Jira software
  • Solution oriented leader with the ability to fail fast and pivot
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, leadership qualities, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of technology trends to build a strategy
  • Ability to conduct technological analyses and research
  • Able to estimate both long term and short-term project timelines and deliverables based on business and technical need
  • Strong understanding of software engineering best practices and design patterns
  • Ability to support an excellent customer experience by being proactive in assessing escalations, and working with the team to respond appropriately
  • Able to meet tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure

Travel Responsibilities:

  • Limited travel to Indianapolis for in person team events once or twice a year could be possible.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in software engineering or computer science
