We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Software Developer to design, maintain, and troubleshoot custom applications that manage data integrations between third-party systems and our accounting platform. This role also involves supporting and updating legacy systems to ensure continued business functionality.

You’ll collaborate closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver practical solutions that align with our operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot PHP-based applications for data integration with third-party systems
2. Write efficient SQL queries and stored procedures to support data transfer and processing
3. Maintain and update legacy software systems used in accounting and operations
4. Collaborate with accounting and operations teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions
5. Assist in the design and implementation of web-based user interfaces as needed
6. Support the integration of APIs from external vendors or platforms
7. Document solutions and maintain version control using Git-based tools

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Essential Qualifications:

1. Proficient in PHP application development
2. Strong experience with SQL (queries and stored procedures)
3. Skilled in troubleshooting and debugging code

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience with accounting systems and understanding of basic accounting principles
2. Front-end web development and UI/UX design skills
3. Proficient in JavaScript
4. Experience integrating third-party APIs
5. Familiarity with SQL Server and PostgreSQL
6. Working knowledge of Apache HTTP Server
7. Experience with open-source development tools such as Git, GitLab, and Eclipse

1. Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
2. High attention to detail and organizational skills
3. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
4. Customer service mindset and responsiveness to internal stakeholders
