As our Social Media Manager, you will lead the development and execution of content strategies that align with Cirque Colors’ goals and objectives. Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, you’ll play a key role in expanding our brand presence, driving engagement, and supporting growth across social media and affiliate marketing channels.
This is a full-time, remote position with the flexibility to work from home. Candidates based in the NYC Metro Area are invited to come into our Lower Manhattan office once or more times per month (flexible).
Core Responsibilities:
- Content strategy and planning:
- Own and manage the organic social content calendar across all platforms (Instagram, TikTok etc.), ensuring alignment with brand initiatives and product launches.
- Observe and research new relevant industry trends, target audience preferences, platform updates, cultural moments and competitor activities to inform the content strategy.
- Continuously identify and source new content creators to support marketing objectives.
- Commission social media content from nail content creators, including negotiating rates and maintaining the monthly social media budget.
- Content creation:
- Ideate, create and execute a wide range of visually appealing on-brand social assets, including written posts, graphics, photos, and short-form videos.
- Brief and turnover social asset requests to the creative team, as well as create socially native assets on your own.
- Conceptualize and launch new social series, activations, or new content pillars to drive organic reach and audience growth.
- Community engagement:
- Act as the voice of Cirque Colors across social platforms: respond to comments, DMs, and tagged content in a timely manner and in a way that continues to foster a positive and inclusive online community.
- Build and nurture relationships with nail-influencers, loyal customers, and affiliates.
- Monitor and report on community sentiment and engagement metrics to inform content and strategy.
- Affiliate program management:
- Own and manage the Affiliate program to increase sales, drive traffic, and boost brand awareness.
- Continuously identify and source new potential affiliate partners to onboard.
- Performance analysis and reporting:
- Track and analyze performance and key performance indicators (KPIs) regularly (weekly / monthly) to evaluate the success of content types and make recommendations for future strategies.
- Develop and or maintain social media dashboards and reporting sheets.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with the marketing and creative teams to ensure social media efforts align with broader marketing initiatives and company objectives.
- Work cross-functionally with customer service to align on messaging whenever necessary.
- Assist with other marketing initiatives whenever needed.
- Brand management:
- Maintain and protect the Cirque Colors reputation by ensuring all content is on-brand and replying to followers feedback effectively.
Qualifications:
- Social Media Management:
- 1-3 years of experience managing social media marketing, content and communities for a brand or as a consultant for multiple brands.
- Experience building audiences and or a following through content marketing.
- Ability to produce engaging content tailored to each social platform.
- Highly familiar with Instagram, TikTok and emerging platforms – you understand the nuances of each and how to create content that works.
- Creative ability:
- Excellent visual eye and copywriting skills; you can craft witty captions and curate eye-catching posts.
- Comfortable being both behind and in front of the camera and acting as the voice of the Cirque Colors brand.
- Technical knowledge:
- Proficiency with content creation and editing tools, such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite, as well as social media management and analytics tools.
- Copywriting: Exceptional writing and copyediting skills to craft compelling captions and messages that reflect Cirque’s brand voice.
- Analytical mindset: Use a data-driven approach to measure success and make effective decisions, and have the ability to build and maintain metric dashboards.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and engage with online communities and creators.
- Organization: Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
- Effectively Work Remote: Ability to work fully remote effectively, create / edit and produce content yourself as well as direct others just as well from your home office as you would in an office setting.
- Industry Interest: Strong interest in the nail polish industry or beauty marketing industry.
Optional, nice-to-have skills:
- A portfolio showcasing successful content campaigns and measurable results.
- Experience within the nail polish industry or beauty industry categories.
- Familiarity with paid social media campaigns.
- Experience with Shopify websites.
- Basic knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) principles.
