Smart Girl Stories is seeking a talented part-time Social Media Influencer/Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate is very comfortable with TikTok, YT, and other video-friendly social media platforms. We schedule all posts through later.com.

At Smart Girl Stories, we are dedicated to promoting the stories of others. We are looking for a candidate with strong social media experience who is more interested in promoting and sharing stories about other people, places, and things than themselves.

Our challenge is time - we just don't have the time to deliver all the work we have before us, that's why we are adding this role. We want someone to help us deliver on all the fun ideas we have to grow our site globally.

Responsibilities

- Help manage video-based content. You'll be creating and posting content, possibly with a talking head against content that is shared/managed on our social media channels.

- Help promote our site to those people or organizations which meet our pledge.

- Manage communication with those who have shared their stories, doing proactive outreach to see if they are happy with their stories and if they'd like to share more.

- Help with affiliate marketing outreach.

Requirements

- Proven work experience managing a social media channel. You should have more than a thousand followers on your personal IG account or on an account you've managed. We need someone with demonstrated and proven skills.

- Strong knowledge of social media platforms and best practices, including experience posting YouTube shorts or TikToks.

- Experience with social listening, web analytics, and social media management tools.

- Experience as a "connector," someone with experience working in large social settings or someone comfortable introducing people to one another either online or in "the real world."

- This position is focused on North America, but we are global, so we welcome your submission regardless of country or primary language. Just know that our initial focus is North America.

- In addition, many of our team members are ESL; therefore, applicants of all languages are encouraged to apply, provided English is somewhere on the hierarchy of proficiency. We operate globally, and you have to communicate in English with our team.

Career history

- You might have experience working in social circles as a meeting coordinator, marketer, or promoter of organizations or events.

- You are an aspiring or experienced writer or journalist who is comfortable proactively contacting and interviewing people, ideally on camera, and then promoting those articles online.

- You are comfortable presenting on stage, on camera, or in a public setting, advocating on behalf of a brand or a cause.

If you are currently a high school student in the US, you must secure work papers through your school. We are open to working with someone in high school, provided they have permission from a legal guardian/parent and experience with the skills we seek.

- As long as you are over 16 and able to meet our requirements, we are ageless in our query; all levels of experience should consider applying. Our budget is limited, though.
