Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Social Media manager to represent our company and promote our products or services to consumers and to the retailers we work with. You will be the face of our brand, engaging with consumers, retailers, and creating a positive brand image.
Duties
- Content Creation and Management:
- Find, develop, and share engaging content for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, Snapchat) and forums (Reddit, Quora, etc.).
- Create content on Canva or other tools; should be highly experienced in basic graphic design and video editing to create posts in-house.
- Schedule all posts on Hootsuite one week in advance.
- Find opportunities to film people playing games at board game cafes, parks, and other locations to post on social media.
- Create content for our Ad Agency with creative taglines and graphic ideas.
- Community Engagement:
- Engage with community members by responding to comments and inquiries, fostering positive relationships within the community.
- Deal with fake accounts and brand impersonations.
- Influencer and Partnership Management:
- Look for new influencers and create new partnerships for content in exchange for games. Manage relationships with the influencers we already work with through Social Medias.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase community membership and engagement.
- Identify and reach out to potential community members and work on increasing the consumer database.
- Communication and Reporting:
- Write bi-monthly newsletters to keep consumers informed.
- Write blog posts to share updates and insights.
- Monitor and report on feedback from the community, providing insights and recommendations based on interactions and feedback.
- Send surveys to gather feedback from the community.
- Event Planning and Management:
- Plan and execute online and offline community events (board game clubs, school events, camps, after school activities…)
- Encourage participation in community activities and initiatives.
- Manage relationship with Indie Games, our National demo program in stores and at events.
- Trend Monitoring:
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in community management and social media.
- Implement new strategies and tools to enhance community engagement.
B to B Key Responsibilities:
- Newsletter Management:
- Promote newsletter sign-up to retailers.
- Write newsletters following a schedule discussed with the sales team.
- Create graphics and text for newsletters and send them via Mailchimp.
- Aim to send out newsletters once a week.
- Database and Content Management:
- Manage the retailer database.
- Manage the database of images and videos, and the retailer folder.
- Save all images with appropriate titles and formats in the company database and the retailer folder.
- Respond to retailer requests for images and spreadsheet fill-outs.
· Event coordination:
- Respond to partnership requests on events, grand openings, and coordinate with stores.
- Help coordinate local tradeshows and events, create signages as needed, coordinate samples to ship etc.
- Content Creation:
- Sketch, create content, and source the development of various items such as stickers, postcards, flyers, and t-shirts as needed.
- Create spec sheets for each new game as early as possible in the process and keep them updated with the newest images.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Manage the database of stores listed on the website.
- Update price lists as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
