Job Description:

As the Social + Influencer Engagement Coordinator, you will work with the amika consumer engagement team on all things influencer marketing, content, + community, supporting our mission to be a friend to all while growing brand awareness and cultivating brand advocacy. You will be joining a team of beauty + content enthusiasts and will be reporting to the Influencer and Partnerships Manager, with a dotted line to the Senior Social Media Manager. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, familiar with content best practices across different social channels, and knowledgeable about the beauty influencer landscape.

location: hybrid in-office/work from home schedule, with 3-4 mandatory trips per year to HQ in Brooklyn, NY (paid by company)

salary: $60,000 - $65,000 + benefits

 

 

what you'll do:

Content:

  • Assist Influencer Marketing team with influencer discovery and content briefing
  • Work closely with Senior Social Media Manager and Content team to identify and leverage Influencer content in owned social media channels
  • Assist in content creation, such as contributing content ideas + copywriting, across various platforms (including but not limited to, Instagram (+Stories), TikTok, Pinterest, and YouTube. Support team in creation of editorial content toolkits for cross-functional partners.
  • Coordinate social partnerships across Instagram + TikTok. Help to identify like-minded brands and creators, and coordinate initiatives such as sweepstakes + content partnerships
  • Manage Skeepers platform to coordinate ratings + reviews, as well as assist team with UGC campaigns
  • Support team in sourcing content across platforms and compiling UGC for reposting
  • Contribute to development of cross-channel social media calendar
  • Support content team at photoshoots and brand events to create compelling consumer-facing content
  • Maintain database of press quotes by product + update ecomm team quarterly to refresh product pages

Community:

  • Support team in reacting and engaging with other brands, influencers, and fans who are posting about amika (within both internal and external communities), engaging with audiences across all platforms on earned/non-amika channels, responding to user comments focused on brand-building.
  • Work alongside PR team to plan and execute ongoing Influencer, press, and consumer-facing events
  • Collaborate with consumer experience team to handle product inquiries, questions and replacements for Brand Ambassadors when necessary

Reporting + Social Listening:

  • Assist with monitoring competitive social landscape, market changes, and developments and remain current on emerging industry, digital, and influencer marketing trends. Proactively share trends + competitive research on a weekly basis with broader marketing team.
  • Work alongside PR team to plan and execute ongoing Influencer, press, and consumer-facing events
  • Assist with monthly post-performance reports as needed for both influencer marketing + content and community. Maintain monthly marketing dashboard with both influencer + social KPIs

Admin:

  • Maintain influencer contact database. Source and pack Influencer gifting materials for both product launches and ongoing brand campaigns, and manage shipping logistics to ensure timely delivery
  • Assist Influencer Marketing and Content teams with accurate tracking of invoices + budget spend.
  • Organize go-to-market social launch assets, as well as evergreen social assets to ensure content is organized and easily accessible
  • Outreach to potential influencer partners weekly to engage on a gifting basis
  • Assist with team admin such as compiling + circulating meeting notes

must-haves:

  • BA, BS or equivalent in marketing, communications, journalism preferred
  • Excellent written + verbal communication skills
  • Based in or around New York City to attend shoots as needed
  • Highly organized, fast learner, open to receiving feedback
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and basic knowledge of graphic design (Canva)
  • Familiar with content best practices on various social media platforms (particularly TikTok + Instagram)
  • 1-2 years of experience in social media, influencer marketing, PR, or content creation
  • Familiar with analytics + publishing tools such as Dash Hudson, Tribe a plus
  • Enthusiastic, positive attitude + passion for all things beauty
