Here’s what we expect from our SEO Content Strategist.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Work closely with our SEO team to research, strategize and execute Editorial SEO programs for clients that incorporate client business goals and SEO and content marketing trends.
Strategize, write, proofread and edit content assets while applying SEO and content marketing performance best practices to all copy production.
Perform comprehensive keyword research for editorial content with a keen understanding of the client's industry, target audiences and buyer journey.
Communicate and manage freelance writers while adhering to deadlines and project margins.
Work within tight deadlines and deliver accurate, concise and well-polished marketing assets.
Work within processes and project management tools to streamline approvals and cross-functional alignment.
Demonstrate a proactive approach to your own growth, soliciting feedback from managers and peers about your performance to maximize learning opportunities.
Exhibit up-to-date knowledge of each client's industry trends, target audience landscape and product knowledge to create accurate, compelling copy.
Exhibit up-to-date knowledge of digital marketing industry trends to align with platform and strategy innovation.
Collaborate with all departments to assess project needs, brainstorm ideas, and generate innovative, compelling copy.
Contribute to department goals and objectives.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
1-2 years of SEO and/or content experience, ideally within an agency setting.
BS/BA in related discipline (English, Journalism, Marketing Communications)
BS/BA in related discipline (English, Journalism, Marketing Communications)
Excellent storytelling and writing skills
Solid understanding of SEO fundamentals and experience writing SEO-aligned content
Foundational experience in digital marketing and social media
Verifiable experience writing and proofreading (marketing content preferred)
The ability to accept editing in a professional manner and to learn from your edits
Strong communication and collaboration skills
The ability to work solo and with a team as needed
Strong organizational and time management skills
Must be results-oriented with an understanding of SEO metrics and the ability to interpret the results and take action to increase effectiveness
A team player approach; willing to pitch in when needed
A curious self-starter with the ability to dive into unknown territory and learn new concepts
