This team focuses on optimizing and maintaining websites' front ends, with expertise in UI/UX design, interactive features, and overall site performance.

Job Description

As a Senior Site Reliability Developer, you will play a dual role: actively contributing to web development and operations while serving as a technical leader within the team.

Team Collaboration:

1. Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: Lead by example, conduct training sessions, document best practices, and help junior developers grow in technical expertise.
2. Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with design, product, and infrastructure teams to align development and reliability goals with business objectives.

Technical Expertise:

1. Provide technical guidance on web development best practices, tools, and frameworks.
2. Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and security protocols.
3. Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend their adoption when appropriate.

Problem Solving and Risk Management:

1. Identify potential project risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
2. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively and efficiently.

Client-facing Responsibilities:

1. As called upon, able to communicate complex technical concepts in simple terms, ensuring clients understand how solutions align with their goals. They should listen actively, demonstrate patience, and use visuals to clarify ideas. Experience in client-facing roles helps them manage expectations and resolve misunderstandings effectively.

Daily Responsibilities:

The Senior Site Reliability Developer is an elevated position of the Site Reliability Developer role, which includes the following:

1. Working within our ticketing system, addressing requests from Account Managers on behalf of clients, as well as handling internal requests from other departments.
2. Working on existing websites within our different ecosystems: Studio 3’s proprietary CMS, “static” sites (HTML, PHP, CSS, JS), and WordPress.
3. Tasks include:
4. Coding newly designed or modifying elements or sections
5. Create and implement interactive, validated forms with proper data handling
6. Adding additional content, creating new pages with provided content, etc.
7. Adding, configuring, and integrating third-party scripts (e.g., analytics, marketing tools, chatbots, and payment gateways).
8. Website migrations
9. Assisting with DNS and domain related issues
10. Site speed optimization (troubleshooting, implementation of best practices, etc.)

Qualifications

1. Web Development: Proficient in JavaScript, CSS, PHP and HTML for building, modifying, and optimizing web elements.
2. Troubleshooting & Debugging: Skilled in identifying and resolving functionality, performance, and compatibility issues.
3. Third-Party Integrations: Experience with API, Zapier and other methods to integrate third-party services (e.g., analytics, chatbots, payment gateways).
4. Web Forms: Ability to create and implement interactive, validated forms with proper data handling.
5. Responsive Design: Strong understanding of modern web standards for cross-browser and mobile compatibility.
6. Development Tools: Familiarity with Git, Docker, NPM, or other modern web tools.
7. Problem-Solving & Collaboration: Works independently but knows when to seek help. Strong team collaboration skills.
8. Project Management & Communication: Organized, meets deadlines, and communicates effectively.
9. Continuous Learning: Stays updated on best practices and new technologies in web development.
10. Experience & Education: 6+ years in web development, computer science, or a related field.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
