Senior Editor (Part Time, Remote)

Optomi, in partnership with a leading digital media company, is seeking an experienced Senior Editor to join their editorial team in a flexible, on-call capacity! Experience of the right candidate:

2. Bachelor's degree required.
3. Proven content curation experience, especially for homepage and channel pages.
4. Familiarity with CMS and analytics tools (internal systems; no specific tools required).
5. Strong background in headline writing, push notifications, and digital content strategy.
6. Ability to support breaking news coverage across multiple platforms.

Responsibilities of the right candidate:

1. Oversee homepage and channel page content during assigned shifts.
2. Curate and optimize digital content for maximum engagement.
3. Ensure quality control of newsletters, push notifications, and special editorial projects.
4. Collaborate with editorial, product, and analytics teams to enhance user experience.
5. Support breaking news coverage and execute content plans for major events.
6. Provide ad-hoc scheduling support, covering shifts as needed for team members on PTO/sick leave.
7. Utilize internal CMS and reporting tools to track audience engagement and content performance.
