Job Description:


The Sales Manager will be responsible for selling the transportation and logistics services ALS' client, a licensed NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) and one of the premier Freight Forwarders worldwide. This role requires a background in the freight forwarding/logistics industry and a passion for excellent client service. The ideal candidate will be a sales leader capable of on-boarding new clients and growing with their team and role.


Requirements


  1. Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales/business development with at least 1 year experience in sales leadership or senior sales required.
  2. Minimum 5 years’ experience in the freight forwarding, logistics, or transportation industry is required.
  3. Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
  4. A team player with a positive attitude, individual initiative, and good communication skills.


Responsibilities:


  1. Build and manage the local sales team. Participate in office recruitment and Sales team development.
  2. Manage and expand the company's customer base by primarily targeting customers in the local territory.
  3. Develop and implement strategic sales and business plans.
  4. Negotiate rates, create quotations, and build relationships with customer base.
  5. Pursue continuous business development while achieving monthly and yearly team KPI targets.
  6. Secure monthly appointments with prospective and existing clients to discuss service options and performance.
  7. Lead as a true team player with a positive attitude, initiative, and exceptional communication skills.


Salary:


  1. $90,000 - $140,000/annual base salary + new sales commission as of 2025. Base salary dependent on industry and sales experience.
