A global producer of innovative extruded aluminum profile solutions and linear motion systems is looking for a Sales and Marketing professional with industrial OEM experience.  This role will be responsible for his/her work and the management of regional sales managers, as well as a small territory of his/her own as well as management of the annual sales and marketing budget. Build on existing customer base and penetrate new accounts, assist with the development of new products and sales and marketing strategies and their implementation.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Hold technical and commercial discussions with engineering, purchasing, and management both in-house and with customers.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of a successful company-wide sales and marketing strategy.
  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships.
  • Be able to understand and relate customer requirements to the engineering team, for the development of proposals to match our solutions with customer requirements.
  • Develop, motivate, and expand sales force and sales channels.
  • Marginal Duties and Responsibilities:  Support trade shows and national industrial conferences,  Training sales associates for distributors and representatives.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS degree in Engineering or relevant work experience
  • Five years of consultative sales experience selling to OEM engineers
  • Successful track record developing and growing a sales territory
  • Specific experience with industrial automation, ideally with mechanical products.
  • Experience working with/managing regional sales managers, manufacturer’s representatives and distributors
  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to lead a prospective customer through a consultative sales discussion in order to discover underlying needs.
  • Must be a self-starter with drive to exceed territory sales targets, and the ability to cold call and develop new relationships
  • Must work without close supervision.
  • Ability to lead and follow in technical conversations with engineers.
  • Consummate listener who is both service-oriented and persuasive.
  • Team player who works effectively with colleagues without imposing blame or seeking praise.
  • Organized, productive, and consistent with follow through.
  • Curious, with a thirst for learning.
  • Possess a high level of integrity and responsiveness; maintains commitments.
  • Must be able to develop/motivate and direct a sales force, as well as manufacturer’s representatives and distributors.
  • Comfortable in a small company environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • This position requires substantial domestic travel, both short and long distances.
  • You may be located anywhere in the US with easy access to an airport, however, preferably you will
  • be within a 4-hour drive of our home office in suburban Philadelphia to enable regular visits.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for hours.
  • This is a safety sensitive positon as it requires travel (usually driving) to customers.
  • Full vaccination against COVID-19 is required.
  • This position can be performed remotely.
