Candidates must live in New York State. The position sits in Geneva, NY, but will be hybrid or fully remote. Training needs to be done on-site for 1 week, then may move to fully remote or hybrid.

Responsibilities:

Minimum: Three years experience with charge master principles and the relationship to coding, billing, and compliance in a hospital setting. Knowledge of CPT/HCPCS coding, CMS regulations, HCPCS, ICD-9, and UB Revenue Codes with the ability to effectively interpret, communicate, and educate others.  Excellent communication, analytical, and computer skills. Charge Master Experience
Coding and billing: of CPT/HCPCS coding, CMS regulations, HCPCS, ICD-9, and UB Revenue

Preferred:  Medical record coding or patient accounting experience.

Responsible for maintaining, updating, and assuring compliance for Charge Master data. Acts as team leader for special projects. Recommends and coordinates the use of consultants for specialized activities.

Conducts and/or oversees data entry of Charge Master revisions.
